Professor Shmuel C. Shapira MD, MPH Colonel (Res.) is a full Professor of Medical Administration at the Hebrew University Faculty of Medicine. Professor Shmuel Shapira was for 8 years (till May 2021) the Director-General of the Israel Institute for Biological Research and Chair of the Board of Life Science Research Israel. Past Deputy Director-General of the Hadassah Medical Organization, Director (founder) of the Military Tract of the Hebrew University Faculty of Medicine, and former Director of the Hebrew University Hadassah School of Public Health. Professor Shapira is the founder and head of the Department of Military Medicine of the Hebrew University Faculty of Medicine and IDF Medical Corps. – Source
